COSTUME WORK

Hello! My name is Griffyn Albers. I am a Wisconsin native with a BA in Theatre Tech and Design: Emphasis in Costumes and Makeup. Due to the small size of my college program, I have been trained in and have knowledge in multiple areas of the theatre as well as transferable skills from previous jobs. I have been sewing for 8+ years and doing makeup for over 5. I am a dedicated, detail oriented, adaptable, quick thinking, practical, fast learner who is ready to immerse herself in a new experience, continue building my resume and adding to my networking web.

MAKEUP WORK

I was trained during college in theatrical makeup, which not only helped me realize my love for the art, but also helped me expand my craft for street makeup as well as Special Effects makeup. I now do freelance makeup for dances, weddings, haunted houses, and theatrical performances.

My skills in costuming/seamstressing are ever-expanding. I have done alterations, both big and small, as well as built full garments from start to finish. Through college I was mainly doing stock pulling and alterations. At my stitcher internship at The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, I sewed all day everyday, all summer and really expanded my construction skills. I do freelance seamstressing in my spare time as well. Recently I was working at the French Woods Festival Performance Camp in the costume shop. We mainly pull from the 45,000+ item stock and alter.
